He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Claude, Thelma Gibler, Robert and Wilma Freshour; his uncles, Richard Freshour and Ron Gibler; his brother Steve Gibler; his mother-in-law Carolyn Givens; and his sister-in-law Cay Givens.

He is survived by : his parents, Danny Gibler and Gloria Gibler (Freshour) of Tarkio, MO; his wife Patsy Givens; his daughters, Breanne Gibler of Villisca, IA and Janelle Gibler (Lance Swartz) of Nodaway, IA; his brothers, Tim Gibler and Doug Gibler of Tarkio, MO.; his father-in-law Wayne Givens of Blanchard, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Deb Givens (Kenny Walker) of New Market, IA, Mike Givens (Christine) of Bethesda, IA and James Givens (Corrine) of Shenandoah, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

I knew all the Gibler family only casually as a youth, we were all about the same age, so I'd see them at community events in Clarinda or New Market. Always so nice and friendly.
