He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Thuman of Clarinda and Ashley Mikkelsen of Maryville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Ariel Peterson, Olivia Mikkelsen, Genevieve, Carter Mikkelsen and Cameron Mikkelsen; his wife Kathleen Headlee of Coon Rapids, Iowa; his sister Mary Jones of Red Oak, Iowa; his nieces, Tammy Jones (Scott) and Sandy Vrbsky; his cousins, Karen Mandina, Janet "Sue" Courtier and Laura Strehle; Brian Headlee (Mary) and Annette Dingman. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
