It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Ruth Land of Clarinda, Iowa, born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel George and Inez Irene Marcella Potter (Wright-Carson); her brother Richard Samuel; her son Wesley Myron Black; her husband Jerry Land; her brother Paul Potter; her sister-in-law Judith Potter; and her great-nephew Christopher Shepard.

She is survived by : her brothers, Larry Eugene and Paul Frederick; her former life partner Myron Black; her brother Larry Potter of Inman, KS; her sister-in-law Dolores Phelps (Bernie Wieland) of Florida; her stepchildren, Linda Hess of Idaho, Steve Land and Todd Land (Jerry Reinke) of Joplin, MO; and her stepgrandchildren, Serena Riley, Skyler Land and Ryan Land. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
