He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Dodd and Lavonne Dodd (McDowell); his siblings, Rita and Dennis; his brother-in-law Keith Eberle; and his nephew Bob Weber.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Peters of Clear Lake; his children, Melissa Groe (Steve) of Lake Mills, Doug Dodd (Jennifer) of Clear Lake and Dwight Dodd of Keota; his grandchildren, Lexi Groe (Alex Tieg), Luke Groe (Megan), Megan Fritz (Mason), Kate Groe, Dayna Dodd, Darby Dodd, Dalton Dodd, Drew Dodd and Dakota Dodd; his great grandchildren, Harrison and Wesley; his sister Mary Weber (Jon); and his sisters-in-law, Judy Flaherty (Tom) and Donna Eberle. He is also survived by seven nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa FFA Foundation Legends Fund or the Ingham Township Cemetery.
