Gladys Jean left this world on April 20, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by : her parents, Theodore Jr. Albers and Elizabeth Albers (Roth); her husband Lee; her son Kevin; her son-in-law Joel Sasse; and her siblings, Edwin, Merrill, Arelene Field and Dorothy Kessler.

She is survived by : her daughters, Betty Sheldon of Clear Lake and LaBeth Sasse of Thornton, IA; her grandchildren, Devlynn, A. J. and Keagan Sasse; and her brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Albers, Donald Albers (Marilyn) and Dennis Albers (Joanna). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428).
