He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard "Pat" Sturges and Donella Flemming Sturges (Piersal); his siblings, June Schmock (Darrel), Wendel "Buzz" Sturges, Donna Billings (Morris) and Gary Sturges; his sister-in-law Lola Robinson (Dick); Pentz and Rosella Ketchum.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Lee Ketchum; his children, Douglas Sturges (Kelly) of Clear Lake, Gary Sturges (Jeanette) of Clear Lake, Dianna Ditsworth (Tim) of Rockwell, Rob Sturges (Penny) of Clear Lake and Kim Bamrick (Bill) of Rockwell; his brother Bob Sturges (Jane) of Clear Lake; and his sister-in-law Billie Sturges of Des Moines. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren.
