She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Nickles and Martha M. Nickles (Behling); her husband Karl Gabelmann; her children-in-law, Jacqlyn Gabelmann (Foster) and Steve Foster; her granddaughter Michelle Schilling (Gabelmann); and her great great grandchild Jayden Happonen.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Powell (Bob) of Clear Lake, Nancy Foster of Mansfield, Frederick Gabelmann (Mary Ann) of Derry, Leanne Chittester (Tom) of Glendale, William Gabelmann (Marla) of Bettendorf and Merrie Jo Reavis (Jeff) of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428).
