Lois R. Kotz Obituary
We announce the death of Lois R. Kotz of Clear Lake, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 97. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lois will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lois will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lois’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Boehnke and Marie Boehnke (Hinrichs); her former husband Edward Kotz, Sr.; and her siblings, Violet Kelck and Gordon Boehnke.
She is survived by: her children, Edward, Jr. Kotz (Kandi) of Custer, SD and Tracie Dean (Dale) of Flippin, AR. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
