It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Luella M Bonner of Clear Lake, Iowa, who passed away on August 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Priebe and Leona Priebe (Buseman); her husband Jim Bonner; her son David Ames; her granddaughter Amy Nieman; her stepson Jack Bonner; her stepgrandson Cory Behr; and her sisters, Lucille (Gaffney) and Miriam Jaberg (Gene).

She is survived by: her children, Mark Ames (Carol), Nancy Nieman, Steve Ames (Mary Jo) and Doug Ames (Carol); her grandchildren, Jeremy Ames, Jennifer Holbach (Jon), Gregory Nieman, Tanya Wolvers (Eric), Jenna Wellik (Nick), Merrielle Hinz and Cherilyn Hazelwood (Dustin); her great grandchildren, Christian, Kayden, MacKenzie, Jack, Jed, Brenna, Sydney, Macie, Adrian, Jordan, Grace and Bella; her stepchildren, Jane Behr (Dennis), Jamie Bonner and Jodi Klause (Doug); her stepgrandchildren, Jerrad Behr, Andrea Sauser and Jennifer Behr; and her sibling's children, Ed Gaffney, Randy Gaffney, Scott, Beth and David Jaberg. She is also survived by five step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
