He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Vorland and Alice Vorland (Jensen); his father-in-law Arnie Hicks; his brother Gene Vorland; his niece Jennifer Cash (Norris); and his nephew Jason Norris.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Vorland; his children, Jacob Vorland (Kate) and Alyson Ganey (Brandon); his mother-in-law Donna Hicks; his sister Louise Norris (Charlie); and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Vorland, Lorie Wittmaack (Tim) and Randy Hicks (Marsha). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in care of the family, that will honor Norman with a memorial bench, to be placed at his favorite lakeview spot!Norman Nels Vorland was born December 16, 1962, in Mason City, the son of Edmund and Alice (Jensen) Vorland.
