He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Zatloukal (Schuller) and Arthur Zatloukal; and his siblings, Kate, Jerry and Pat Zatloukal.

He is survived by: his siblings, Daniel Zatloukal (Whitney) of Webster City, IA and Dona Rohrer (Gene) of Mason City, IA; his sister-in-law Janice Zatloukal; and his nieces and nephews, Brett, Shaun, Shane, Shelly, Angie, Jerry, Richard, Wendy, Dean, Ryan, Patrick and Jaime.
