In the sacred silence of farewell, Janet is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Janet's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Hummel and Opal Hummel (Coon); her husband Platt David Goodrich, Jr.; and her brothers, Phil and Randy.
She is survived by: her son Michael Goodrich (Rosey) of Hornick, Iowa; and her siblings, Margie Ross and Dick Hummel (LaDonna). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106).
