She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Weis and Lorina Weis (Jacobs); her brother Joseph B. Weis; her siblings-in-law, Steven Hankemeier and Lisa Weis; her nephew Troy Weis; Evelyn Grace Huebner.
She is survived by: her husband Ron Gerdts; her children, Larry Gerdts (Tom) of Redmond, Lori Hagedorn (Jason) of Iowa City and David Gerdts (Hilary) of North Liberty, Iowa; her grandchildren, Sam Hagedorn, Elli Hagedorn, Lily Gerdts and Henry Gerdts; and her siblings, Maryann Huebner of Camas, Joann Weems (Bob) of San Antonio, Bernadette Hankemeier of Miles, Iowa, Vince Weis of Denver, Gerald Weis (Sally) of Harpers Ferry and Don Weis (Jean) of Camanche, Iowa. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
