He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Maydew and Louise Maydew (Stanley); and his close friend Paul Thompson. He is survived by: his siblings, Brian Maydew of Clinton, IA and Deb Christian of Lillian, AL; and his close friends, Dan Terrock, Tim Terrock, Mike Howard and Dave Hynous. He is also survived by six nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pape Funeral Home (2308 Pershing Blvd, Clinton, IA 52732).
