He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond H. Brown and Catheryn Brown (Milan); his brother Steve Brown; his father-in-law John Ward; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Brown and Kevin Broughton.

He is survived by: his wife Patti Brown of Clinton; his son Eric Brown (Nicole) of Plainfield, Illinois; his siblings, Jerry Brown (Barb) of Clinton, Patti Broughton of Clinton and Kenny Brown of Peoria, Illinois; his mother-in-law Rose Ward of Clinton; Paula Vulich of Clinton and John Ward of Lawrence, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to the Nature Center at Eagle Point Park.
