With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chet A. Hippler of Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on February 9, 2026 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his pet Mia; his grandparents, Andrew, Catherine Hippler, George and Marie Schilling; and his father-in-law Harlan Marx.
He is survived by: his parents, Carl Hippler (Melanie) of DeWitt and Joan Hippler (Schilling) of Davenport; his wife Deb Marx; his daughters, Shayla Hippler of DeWitt and Heather Hippler of Cedar Rapids; his granddaughter Averee Johnson; his siblings, Bryan (Jodi) of Grand Mound, Michael (Mary Lou) of Davenport and Amanda Taylor of Davenport; and his pets, Sosha and Bodie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to the Andover Fire Department, First Presbyterian Church, or Hero Haven.
