It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clevetta M. Ward of Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Andrews and Georgia Andrews (DeGrofft); her husband Lefty; her daughter Theresa Soesbe; her granddaughters, Amanda and Allyson; and her siblings, Clyde, Jack, Rose, Carol and Sharon.

She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Anderson (Mark Arlen) of Clinton, David Ward of Clinton and Kenneth Ward (Myra) of Conover; and her grandchildren, Sarah, Brian, Luc, John, Leslie, Laura, Andrew, Taylor and Shane. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

“My Aunt Beta and I had a special relationship, often finding time to connect over shared interests...cards, gambling, cruising and traveling, and letter-writing. We also shared plenty of life events as well, including being firstborn daughters, having tall husbands with special health needs later in life, and the worry that comes with expecting twin grandchildren. We often propped each other up through the rough times. Forever grateful for her. She is missed and loved. My condolences to all.”
