He is survived by: his children, Dan Ernst of Oakridge, Joel Ernst of Clinton, Jeff Ernst (Laura) of Clinton, Iowa and Sheryl Ernst of Clinton; his grandchildren, Carl, Sativa, Lance (Demi), Luke, Keli (Tanner), Curtis, Kyle (Liza), Brady (Kortney) and MacKenzie (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Gracelyn, Aracely and Lennon.
Memorials can be made to the First Methodist Church.
