She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Cornilsen and Romey Cornilsen (Bratthauer); her husband Gilbert Diercks; and her son Michael. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Johnson of Thompson, IL, Rick Diercks (Kathy Schoel) of Clinton, Carol Diercks of Clinton, Kevin Diercks (Patti) of Andover and Lisa Till (Tim) of Bellevue, IA; her grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Rachel), Kristen Rahe (Chad), Jill Diercks (Jeff Hart), Jennifer Wall (Josh), Kelli Daehler (Ben), Lindsey Kueter (Jared) and Lauren Till (Keaton Tebbe); her sister Selma Shilling; her sister-in-law Darlene Schroeder; her siblings, Avalda Malmstrom, Lucille Buell, Lois Swanson, Marilyn Krutzfield, Howard Cornilsen and Lyle Cornilsen; her son-in-law Richard Johnson; her grandson Brandon Till; and her grandson-in-law Collin Long. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous.
