It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Mangels of Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Doris has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence McDonald and Ethel McDonald; her son Fred Horton; and her brothers, Gilbert and Claire.

She is survived by: her children, Penny Anderson (David) of Clinton, Marguerite Dudock (Michael) of Clinton and David Burmeister (Diane) of Davenport; and her close friend Everett Baughman of Clinton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
