She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Griep and Alta Griep (Vaughn); her husband James "Jim" Kurtz; and her brothers, Thomas Griep and Jerry Griep.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Jacobsen of Anamosa, IA, Brenda Sjoblom (Erik) of State Center, IA and Kevin Kurtz (Bridget) of Clinton, IA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; with several, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
