With sadness, we share the passing of Esther J. Griggs of Clinton, Iowa. Esther passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Grossklaus and Hilda Grossklaus (Thieker); her brother Dave Grossklaus; and her son-in-law Cory Traver. She is survived by: her husband Bill of Clinton; her children, Debbie Traver of Clinton, Dave Griggs (Jody) of Carmel, IN and Dwight Griggs (Natalie) of Brownsburg, IN; her grandchildren, Eric Traver (Brittney) of Nederland, Texas, James Traver (Charissa) of Albany, IL, Jeff Traver (Gretchen) of Brownsburg, IN, Brooke Griggs (Kevin Budnik) of Chicago, IL and Brittany Griggs (Calvin Nguyen) of Fishers, IN; her great grandchildren, Jayden, Nora, Eden, Theodore, Ellie, Lucas and Elijah; her brother Gary Grossklaus (Becky); and her sister-in-law Deb Grossklaus.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gateway Bible Chapel (2416 W Stockwell Ln, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bloomington-Muscatine Friends Church Cemetery (2698 180th St, Muscatine, IA 52761).
