He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Gilbert and Esther Gilbert (Nelson); his sister Lynette; and his brother-in-law Robert Koons. He is survived by: his pets, Babe, Sage, Chase, Diane, Shelley and Pat; his wife Carole Rohr; his children, Randy Gilbert (Cindy), David Gilbert (Joanne), Jennifer Young (Lon) and Sarah Raaymakers (Joe); and his brother Larry Gilbert. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Prairie Pastures Dog Park or First Congregational Church.
