He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Thomsen and Evelyn Thomsen (Schmidt); his wife Barbara Schutz; and his siblings, Clayton, Raymond and Nancy.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Irish of Clinton, IA, Tammy Moore of Long Grove, IA and Tony Thomsen of Rock Island, IL; and his sister Peggy Flatland. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
