James E. Winkel Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Winkel and Dolores Winkel (Byrns); and his brothers-in-law, Martin, Marvin Spiva and Benjamin E. Sneed.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Bengston; his son Michael Winkel of Clinton; his sister Lois Sneed of Hendersonville, NC; his niece Ilene Iberg (Jeff) of Fulton; and his nephew Joseph Watters (Carol) of Clinton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Church (1105 LaMetta Wynn Dr, Clinton, IA 52732). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Parish.
