She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Peters and Anetta Peters (Mielk); her brother-in-law Ben "Jack" Tietjens; and her nephews, Aaron Braaten and John Wright.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Tietjens of Clinton, IA; and her nieces, Ann Tietjens (Juanita) of Normal, IL, Julie Larsen (Tim) of Moline, IL, Ronna Braaten of Bettendorf, IA and Joleen Wright of Charlotte, IA. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (416 Main Ave, Clinton, IA 52732).
Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
