He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Byers Nelson and Edward Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Steven Nelson (Debra) of Fort Meyers Beach, Florida, Kenneth Nelson (Kimmila) of LeClaire, Karen Petersen (late Mike) of Clinton, Terrence Nelson (Patricia) of Machesney Park, Illinois, David Nelson (Sally) of Clinton and Mark Nelson (Heather) of Clinton; his wife Joan Koch; and his siblings, Vicky McCoy (Doug) and Richard Nelson (Diane). He is also survived by his six children; his 21 grandchildren; his 36 great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be made in Jack's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
