We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 106, Karina Brightwell of Clinton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Karina leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nels Hetland and Karina Hetland (Bejeland); and her husband Omie Brightwell. She is survived by: her children, Betty Boehmer of Clinton, Mary Ann Holloway of Missouri, Nancy Meyer of Clinton, Donald Brightwell of Dubuque and Kenneth Brightwell of Camanche; and her sister Dorothy Tribby of Ellsworth, Iowa. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
