He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Thomas and Vivian Thomas (Nye); and his son Steve Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Penny Klingler (Donald) of LeClaire, Iowa and Andrew Thomas of Los Angeles, California; and his siblings, Terry Thomas (Delores) of Clinton, Scott Thomas (Tracy) of Clinton, Lynn Hopkins of Macomb, Jeff Thomas and Mark Thomas of Vietnam. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory (302 3rd Ave S, Clinton, IA 52732).
