She was predeceased by: her parents, Amy Lou Brown (Griggs) and Leonard Roy Brown; her husband John Thomas McGovern (Tom); her brother Garry Brown; her niece Traci Brown; and her in-laws, William, Marie McGovern, Terrance, Mary Jo McGovern, Clarence Henry, Mary, Daniel Lawlor and Darrell Hinrichsen.

She is survived by: her children, Michael McGovern of Pasco, WA, Vanessa Majkut (Steven) of Upton, MA and Andrew McGovern (Jacy) of Jacksonville, FL.; her grandchildren, Thomas Majkut (Renee), Alison Klint (Carl), Andrew Majkut (Natalia) and Gavin McGovern; her great grandchildren, Oliver Majkut, Isabelle Klint, Josephine Klint and George Klint; her cousin Sharon Sellens of Anchorage, AK; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Henry of Clinton, IA and Debbie Brown of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of long-time friends.
