He is survived by: his parents, John Gunderson and Brooke Gunderson of DeWitt; his grandparents, Brent, Paulette Seeser of Clinton, Jim Gunderson of Clinton and Cheryl Wilson (Jason) of Clinton; his great-grandparents, Dianne Shaff of Clinton, Sandy Milder of Clinton and Selma Gunderson of Clinton; his aunts, Paige Seeser, Brenna Steingraeber (Adam) and Quinn Gunderson (Kevin Rice); and his cousin Nellie Rice.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Eagle Point Lodge 3923 (4101 N 3rd St, Clinton, IA 52732).
Memorials can be made in Mark's name to the Stella Effect, a foundation that supports children with trisomy 13 and 18 and their families.
