He is survived by: his wife Janice Burg; his sons, Scott Gaarde (Ami) of Iowa City and Corey Gaarde (Theresa) of Oak Brook, IL; his granddaughters, Lauren Rapp (Tommy) of Phoenix, AZ., Claire Gaarde (Masen Miller) of Iowa City and Grace Gaarde of Iowa City; and his siblings, Robin Gonzalez of Oklahoma, Judy Hoover (Danny) of Oklahoma and Scott Calcote (Cindy) of Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
