With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Burmahl of Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Sommers and Syliva Sommers (Kremer); and her brother Donald Sommers. She is survived by: her husband Floyd Burmahl; her daughters, Jacqueline Lee of Clinton and Julia Burmahl of New Braunfels, Texas; her granddaughter Whitney Veenstra (Ryan) of Clinton; her great grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson Veenstra; and her siblings, Joanne Konrardy (Paul), Phyllis Wingert (Joe), Nancy Konrardy (Vern), Shirley Rinkiker, Terri Wagner, Ron Sommers, Rich Sommers, Bob Sommers (Connie) and Tom Sommers (Kim). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
