He was predeceased by: his father Roger Smith, Sr.; and his grandparents, Don, Joyce Simmons, Roger and Roberta Smith.

He is survived by: his mother Rhonda Pingel-Smith of Clinton; his son Acre Smith of Camanche; his brother Brent Smith (Beth); his niece Brooklyn McMeekan of Davenport; his nephew Liyam Bird of Clinton; his siblings, Roger Smith, Jr. (Heather) of Tennessee, Carl Smith of Tennessee, Shawna Hurst (David) of Tennessee and Honey Huff (Chris) of Tennessee; his aunt Karla Anderson (Jerry) of DeWitt; and his uncle Dean Pingel (Michelle) of Clinton. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
