Philip M. Fuglsang Obituary

With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Philip "Flip" Michael Fuglsang who left us on October 10, 2025 surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Private graveside services will be at Rose Hill Cemetery on Wednesday. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Fuglsang, Jeremy Brown, Justin Klahn, Timothy Cram, Jace Stratton, Marcus Lemon, Craig Abbott and Dave Schawl.

Phil was born on November 13, 1966 to his proud parents Ivy (Finn) Fuglsang & Allen Lee Fuglsang. Entering this world Phil gained a best friend in his sister Jennifer- his life long scotch doubles partner. Phil graduated from Clinton High School in 1985. Throughout those years Phil gained Brothers- Dan, Homer & Brandon who would be life long friends.

Phil started work at Custom Pak in 1988 where he would spent 37 years working hard and making friendships along the way.

On March 5, 1988. Phil was married to Melissa Baker. Throughout their marriage Phil gained his greatest blessings Kayla his "Sunshine", Michael his "Michael Man" and Jessica his "Babygirl.". On July 12, 2014 Phil married his loving wife Brenda (Brown) Fuglsang. Their love for each other gave Phil two daughters Amber & Heather and a son Jeremy whom became apart of the family like a puzzle. Phil and Brenda enjoyed spending their time camping on the weekends with his buddy Dory. They spent 17 years caring and loving for one another. "Flip" and "Flop".

Phil was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Whether it be chilling at the campground or taking his lastest cheesy selfie his touched the lives of his grandkids and he will live on through their personalities, character and smiles.

He was a hard working man. His hands often found with motor oil residue. Whether it was helping family for friends with car troubles or tinkering with his "baby" his Harley in the garage. There wasnt anything he wasn't willing to learn about or try to fix.

If you didn't find Phil in the garage or riding bike- you'd find him at the pool hall. He spent his life learning and perfecting his smooth impeccable talent and calm and composed character at the table. He made it look effortless. He was a legend in our eyes. His talent can be seen through so many as he was always up for a lesson or teaching you something he'd perfected. Spending many years in CPBA he has made life long friends through the game of billards. He legacy will live on through his kids and family for he shared this love with many.

Phil had the best smile and gave the best hugs! He always had a witty comment and a good sense of humor. If you were loved by him you knew it. He carried himself in a way that made you want to know him. To love him.

His passing is felt so deeply by so many. We will spend forever missing him and everything he was to our family. If you would so kindly share a memory of Phil for his family. Phil is survived by his wife Brenda Fuglsang of Clinton; children: Kayla (Timothy) Cram of Camanche, Michael (Bree) Fuglsang of Fulton, Jessica (Justin) Klahn of Camanche, Amber (Chris) Conrad of Rock Island, Illinois, Heather (Brett) Ebersole of Polo, Illinois and Jeremy (Audrey) Brown of Morrison, Illinois; grandchildren: Aleighna, Marshall, Shania, Summer, Jaxen, Leighton, James, Jack, Jenna-May, Logan, Xander and Rowyn; mother: Ivy Fuglsang of Clinton; sister Jennifer (Tom) Stratton of Camanche; faithful companion Dory; and niece and nephew: Brittney (Marcus) Lemon of Clinton and Jace Stratton of Camanche.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and friend Dan Mussman.
