We bid farewell to Phyllis Ineta Ferrell of Clinton, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 19, 2025 at the age of 90. Phyllis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Dean and Lou Edith Dean; her husband Bruce Benton Ferrell; her grandparents, James, Cecil Spence Lackey, Hiram T. and Clarissa Counts Dean; her siblings, Gordan H. Dean, Koleta Faye Dean, Iris Irvin, Myrtle Maynard, Birdie Elaine Couch and Kathryne Rosen; her aunts and uncles, Myrtle Dean Woody, Lena Lackey Morrison, Elizabeth Lackey Roberts, Leonard, Roscoe and Claude Lackey; and her daughters, Koleta Berning and Krista Hughes.
She is survived by: her son Allen "Bud" Ferrell (Charlotte) of Cleveland, Tenn.; her sons-in-law, James Hughes of Elizabethtown, Penn and Don Berning of Ames; her siblings, Millie Ferrell (Steve) of McMinnville, Sandra Kay Wriston of North Canton, Millard Fullen Dean, Jr. (Dianna) of Frankfort, James D. Dean (Kathy) of Wayne, W. Va and Homer Randy Dean (Barbara) of Huntington; and her sister-in-law Marie Dean of Atwater. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Tiller Funeral Home (10030 WV-152, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
