He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Fleets (Hillard) and Johnny Monley; his siblings, Karl Fleets, Charles Fleets and Eulanda Watson; and his aunt Betty Lacy.
He is survived by: his children, Kenya Fleets, Zackary Petway and Kyle Petway; his siblings, Kenny (Brenda), Gary, Roy Fleets and Wanda Dukes (Gregory); and his friend Mary Bradley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
