He was predeceased by: his partner Sandy Higginbotham; and his sisters, Phyllis and Patricia. He is survived by: his children, Chad Tholen (Sara) of Camanche and Shannon Tholen of Camanche; and his siblings, Russell Tholen (Pam) of Florida and Pam Ryan (Doug) of Minnesota. He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
