He was predeceased by: his father Ross Spooner; his sister Kelly; his nephews, Matthew Mulholland and Taylor Spooner; and his parents-in-law, Larry and Connie Andersen.
He is survived by: his mother Lynda Spooner (Goldensoph); his wife Dana Andersen of Clinton; his children, Alayna Spooner of Ankeny and Logan; his grandson Brayden Spooner of Ankeny; his siblings, Shawn Spooner (Donna) of Robins, Dawn Mulholland (Mike) of Clinton and Darcy Spooner of Clinton; his brother-in-law Dave Stoller of Clinton; Lynda Spooner of Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the to the family for the use of his son, Logan's post-secondary education in honor of his father's memory.
