He is survived by: his children, Thomas Jr. (Laurie), Becky of Clinton and Laura Thiessen (Mike Rains) of Many, LA.; his wife Molly S Thiessen (Niles); and his siblings, Janice Sampson (George) of Minneapolis, MN., Sharon Searcy of Dewitt, IA., Leon Thiessen (Karen) of Clever, MO. and Judie Petersen (Steve) of Goose Lake, IA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
