He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Francis Ryan Sr. and Marvel Elaine Ryan (Smith); his grandson Chris Lucke; his siblings, Robert Isadore Ryan and Marvel Ryan; and his daughters, Kelly Liston and Jennifer Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Gehl; his children, Elizabeth Ryan-Malinowski (Karen) of The Villages, Florida, Eric Ryan (Jen) of Clinton and John Ryan of Clinton; and his siblings, Steve Ryan (Pat) of Shell Rock, Terry Ryan (Raedene) of Elvira, Ed Ryan (Judy) of Clinton, Sheila Hensel (Steve) of Clinton and Mary Determan (Gary) of Clinton. He is also survived by Three granddaughters; Two grandsons; Five great-grandchild.
