She was predeceased by: her former husband Donald Ripley; and her siblings, Russell Hervey, Marvis Randall, Marlene Jose and Dwight Hervey.
She is survived by: her husband Reverend Royce Jones; her children, Susan Swires (Daniel), Douglas Ripley (Ruth), Mona Goossen (Jim) and Jayme Holt; her grandchildren, Justin Swires (Jessica), Joshua Swires (Molly), Jessica Hoerr (Casey), Amy Perez (Reuben), Janette Whitmer, Israel Ripley (Kristen), Nicholas Goossen (Rachel), Rachel Silvey (Troy) and Jordan Knueven (Jacob); and her stepchildren, Marcie King (Trent), Doug Jones (Missy) and Tracie Abkes (Bruce). She is also survived by many great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westover Baptist Church (6337 Hickman Rd, Des Moines, IA 50322). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery.
