He was predeceased by: his former wife Helen Rockwell; his wife Luetta Rhodes; his siblings, Dwight, Donald, Gordon Gustafson and Mary Baker; and his brother-in-law Daniel Merrick.
He is survived by: his children, John Gustafson and Nancy Gustafson; his grandchildren, Janice (Ryan) and David (Kerianne); his great grandchildren, Hazel "Rae", Zane, Henry and Arthur; and his siblings, Lillian Mitchell (James), Robert Gustafson (Audrey) and Dagmar Merrick. He is also survived by six stepchildren; a number of step-grandchildren.
