It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Holt Schiefer (Clive, Iowa), born in Colfax, Iowa, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Patty Schiefer; his daughters, Lisa Farrell (Brian) and Heidi McCormick (Tate); his grandchildren, Zach Farrell (Kaitlin), Sam Farrell, Jackson McCormick, Molly Farrell, Jonah McCormick and Colby McCormick; and his great grandchildren, Phil and Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorials can be made to the Clive Fire Department or Kavanagh House.
