He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Long and Mabel Long of Stanhope, Iowa.; and his siblings, Larry Long of Carroll and Lorraine McVicker of Boone, Iowa.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Long; his sons, Jeffrey Long (Jane) and Todd Long (Stacey); and his sister Lois Danielson. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Beginnings Christian Church (8631 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322).
