He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. Mangold and Vanita Mangold (Beaman); his son Jason Mangold; his grandson Wyatt Willey; his parents-in-law, Richard and Ethel Sperfslage; his sister Dedra Long (David); his half-brothers, Rusty Sill and Jerry Sill (Joann); and his nephew Tony Sill.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Mangold of Coggon; his daughter Andrea Willey (Chris) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Isabelle Willey, Devann Mangold and Jason "J. J." Mangold (Melissa Pierce); his great grandchildren, Marcus and Lehlani; his sister Linda Keenan (Doug) of Cedar Rapids; his half-brother Don Sill (Karen) of Lake Rathbun; and his sister-in-law Judy Sill of Melrose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home (1500 N Franklin St, Manchester, IA 52057). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
