He is survived by: his siblings, Howard Jr. and Georgia Pierce; and his nieces and nephews, Tony Holdefer (Missy), Chris Pierce, Jason Pierce (Alesa), Danny Pierce, Brandon Pierce (Desirae), Jeremy Holdefer, Jonathan Holdefer (Aimee), Brenda Rice (Stacy), Stacie Holdefer and Craig Holdefer.
