He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Glen Jr. and Wilma Jean Bixby (Reid); and his brothers, Daryl and Rodney. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Bixby (Peppel); his children, Samantha Olsen (Ryan) of Davenport, Joshua Bixby of Columbus Junction and Jamie Bixby (Claudia) of Ainsworth; his brother Jerry Bixby (Alice); and his close friend Daisy.

A memorial fund has been established for the family in memory of Lonnie.
