She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Quirk and Dorothy Vivian Quirk (Pelham); her husband Herbert George Gotshall, Jr.; and her siblings, Donald, Sharon, Mary and James.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Smith (Curtis) of Gardner, Kansas; her granddaughter Erin Neff (Christian) of Lenexa, Kansas; her nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Dee Linton, Tanya Leverette, Michelle Leverette, Tami Quirk Holubar (Kraig), Kristin Quirk Eggers (Steve) and Patrick Quirk; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor, Sean Leverette, Tyler (Kenzie), Connor, Halle Linton, Myles, Tanner Bartlett, Jacob (Kristina) and Shea Holubar.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
