He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wiitala and Mary Ann Wiitala (Kuusisto); and his brother-in-law Antonio Santocono. He is survived by: his daughter Katie Wiitala (Cory Onken) of Carroll; his grandchildren, Brayden Onken, Aria Maasen, Logan Maasen and Owen Onken; and his siblings, Betty McInnes (Don) of Hillsboro, ND, Diane Santocono of Mansfield, TX and Verl Wiitala (Kathy) of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home - Carroll (705 N Carroll St, Carroll, IA 51401).
